October carries a special excitement — the moment when the holiday season feels just around the corner. At Spread You and Smiles, October is about final preparation, refining every detail, and letting the magic begin to build.
For our Santas and performers, this month is a time to double-check schedules, review training materials, and ensure all logistics are in place. Costume fittings, rehearsals, and final adjustments happen now, allowing performers to step into December fully prepared and confident.
Communication is key. Any outstanding paperwork, schedule conflicts, or personal updates should be addressed promptly. The closer we get to the season, the more important it is that everyone is aligned, so families experience seamless, professional visits with every Santa.
October is also about mindset. Santas begin to embody the magic, practicing storytelling, refining interactions, and connecting with the joy that defines the holiday season. It’s a reminder that the work we do is about more than logistics — it’s about creating memories that last a lifetime.
Our behind-the-scenes team is working tirelessly. From coordinating events to supporting performers and confirming bookings, every detail is carefully managed. October is when planning transitions into execution, ensuring that the holiday season runs smoothly from coast to coast.
For new performers, October is an immersive month. Training refreshers, mentorship, and practical guidance prepare them for their first appearances. For returning Santas, it’s a time to polish skills and embrace the role fully, bringing warmth and authenticity to every interaction.
The energy in October is palpable. Families begin to anticipate visits, decorations start appearing in communities, and the excitement of the season spreads. Every preparation step contributes to the seamless delivery of joy in December.
As the leaves fall and the days grow shorter, the sense of magic grows stronger. October reminds us that Christmas isn’t just a day on the calendar — it’s a season built on preparation, heart, and shared joy.
’Twas almost the season, and at Spread You and Smiles, the magic is unmistakably in the air.
